Keith’s research interests focus on biophysical mechanisms that regulate hemostasis, thrombosis, and fibrinolysis. He is a Professor of Bioengineering and Pediatrics and the Scientific Director of the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center at CU Anschutz. He is devoted to training scientists and engineers for their next career stage with a focus on scientific rigor, research ethics, professionalism, and strong communication skills. His teaching interests include systems biology, quantitative physiology, and transport phenomena.

Keith’s research and education program has been recognized with a NSF CAREER, Colorado Bioscience Educator of the Year, and the Karl Link Award in Thrombosis from the American Heart Association. He is an elected Fellow of the American Heart Association and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. He has served leadership roles for the American Society of Hematology and International Society for Thrombosis and Hemostasis. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and a standing member of the NIH Hemostasis, Thrombosis, Blood Cells, and Transfusion (HTBT) study section.
