Lacey Mesia is a scientist coming to the University of Colorado with a solid background in blood bank technology and platelet research.  She has firsthand experience seeing how patient care can be affected daily by improved technologies and strives to make a lasting impression on the translational bioengineering field by completing her PhD. She enjoys ultra-running, cooking new food, and spending time with her family.
